A Nonprofit’s Lifespan is Determined by Its Volunteer Recruitment

February 26th, 2012

This might be shocking to most people, but when it comes to a nonprofit growing as an organization and remaining stable, it’s not how much money they raise for their mission or quarterly goal—it’s the talented volunteers that they recruit.

The recruitment comes from areas of a nonprofit that need a strategic boost, as well as from actual companies who are letting their employees volunteer on top of their 9-5 job. This is smart for both parties involved because it creates an excellent brand image for the company, and provides excellent talent for the nonprofit.
