Is Your Nonprofit Mission Statement Actually a Vision Statement?

Your mission statement is one of the most important parts of your nonprofit, and there should be plenty of effort put into writing it. Don’t make the mistake of turning it into something that it is not though.

Some nonprofits will often look to the future and end up writing a “vision” statement. The difference between a mission statement and a vision statement is how far in the future you are looking, but what potential donors and your donors want to know is what is happening in the now.
