Despite what you may think, when you’re writing content for your nonprofit, you’re advertising. And, if you haven’t noticed, ads get a bad rap. They’re annoying, obnoxious, intrusive and often-times don’t give their audience enough credit—when done wrong.

But there’s a secret to great content writing (a.k.a. advertising) for your nonprofit. This same secret can be used to get your readers to take a specific action. It’s simple, and perhaps even common sense. But it’s powerful.
