3 Tips on Branding from Politicians

Whether you’re a political guru or instantly tune out to the word “politicians,” there is plenty to learn about nonprofit branding from politicians.

Like politicians, the motive—good or bad—of your nonprofit is sometimes only visible within your organization. Your operations and services are hopefully driven by virtue, but if they’re not, nobody would know the truth.

Your brand is what people are saying and thinking about you, so make sure that it’s a positive opinion. People will give to a nonprofit that has a brand that reflects virtue. Make sure that—like politicians—you can bring to light the angel on your right shoulder.
