Some nonprofit fundraisers sound like machines when talking to prospective donors about their mission—no imagination, and ever on repeat. Not that you’re guilty of it, but many fundraisers rely on messaging that’s been used so often it loses its impact. Overused words and phrases may have packed a punch before, but they barely budge a donor nowadays.
