The ask is the most important part of fundraising—it’s when you ask donors to give money to your nonprofit. Do your donors the courtesy of asking them “would you consider a donation of $____?”
Asking someone for money is awkward. Being asked for money is even more awkward. Relieve the tensions during the conversation by being upfront with whatever dollar amount you’re hoping to receive from said donor.
