If you’re an American citizen, 18 years old and have a phone, you’ve probably received a political call asking you for money within the last month. And if you haven’t, brace yourself—they’re coming. Despite your efforts to never ever pick up an unknown answer, they don’t and won’t give up on you.

So how does your nonprofit raise money in a time like this? In a time when politicians are asking everyone who has money to give for a donation? For starters, don’t back down. Expecting to raise less during the political season means you’ll raise less. Don’t doubt your superhero fundraising abilities, because when you do they’ll undoubtedly fail.
