The most successful nonprofits and businesses in the world never coast—they keep their bikes in gear and are constantly pushing forward. Even if (and when) you get comfortable with the amount of donations you bring in, you shouldn’t get too comfy.

Our first tip for constantly upping your large donations is to go over the top with your gratitude. For your largest donors, no amount of appreciation is too much. Don’t make them feel awkward, but know that there’s a high threshold of gratefulness that they’ll welcome before feeling even the slightest bit awkward.
